Galway

This western city of Ireland has a more or less mild climate all around the year making it a great tourist spot, having high footfalls all over the year. Galway gives you a great chance to visit the beautiful Connemara region as well as the famous Cliff’s of Moher. Galway city itself is a thriving University city with the beautiful Coastal Salthill just a stones throw outside the city.

Sweeping strokes of geology have carved up the landscape of Galway and Mayo, forming a many-pronged block between Galway and Donegal bays that’s almost cut off from the mainland by a string of lakes. In the south, the forty-kilometre stretch of Lough Corrib neatly bisects County Galway, the second largest county in Ireland after Cork.

Galway City Museum is located by the river Corrib close to the Spanish Arch, the Claddagh and some of the finest remains of Galway’s medieval wall.
